Thousands of candles can be lighted from a single candle, and the life of the candle will not be shortened. Happiness never decreases by being shared.

I think the same thing can be said about light.
This past week I was at one of my happy places, a wellness retreat in Tecate, Mexico. I took lots of mindful walks, and "light" became my theme for photos. Here's hoping we all find some light today and share it with someone else.
I also asked my 12-year-old granddaughter to contribute a poem about light:
"bike ride"
the light is dying
but we are just beginning to live
wheels turning
as we zip down the path
twisting to catch a glimpse of the pink glow
above the trees
a crane stretching up in the distance
like the ones at the wharf
the lamps in the park are on
and we hustle to get home before dark
specks of dust, only visible under the warm
light,
dance like moths
and the moon is reflected in the puddles
churned into mud that splashes as our bikes
rush down the slope
past the lagoon.
light hits our faces
smiling up at the sky.
